Test centre

UNIVEGA’s in-house test laboratory and many bike-enthusiast employees and athletes ensure quality control. At the production site in Cloppenburg, UNIVEGA has its own test laboratory, where (almost) every possible test is carried out. From a carbon frame prototype, to the system wheel set, through to disc brakes, the testers get to grips with them all. This guarantees the durability and safety of the components.

A bike not only has to be safe, but loads of fun too. Whether UNIVEGA’s developments meet this requirement is tested daily by athletes and employees. The strengths and weaknesses of a bike are only really revealed in regular use. A fair number of miles have to be covered before any judgement is passed.

Test riding the UNIVEGA Alpina HT Twentyniner

Birgit Jüngst-Daubner, Marathon European champion, took an in-depth look at the UNIVEGA HT TwentyNiner. The bike, which is fitted with 29 inch wheels, was used both in training as well in the 24 hour race at the Alfsee Lake. Her conclusion after countless miles:

»A fantastic bike for rocky, knotted trails and forest paths. On tours and on forest and gravel tracks you can feel the distinctly better propulsion, at the same crank revolution, in comparison to 26 inch wheels.«
