Megatest: “Very Good” for the UNIVEGA Alpina SL 5

aktiv Radfahren Ausgabe 1-2/2012; NB › 27.12.2011

“Everything you could possibly need, and with a realistic price tag”

The UNIVEGA Alpina SL has been put through its paces in the “aktiv Radfahren” megatest, and has impressed both in terms of price and performance. “The Alpina SL-5 is incredibly fun to ride,” writes the editor of this German cycling magazine, emphasising the agility as well as the responsiveness of this cyclo-cross bike. He also notes that the brakes were ideal for narrow, twisty routes, with different sections ridden at a great variety of speeds. The verdict “Very Good” is based on the following test summary:

“A relatively affordable, well-equipped full-suspension touring bike. A joy to ride all day long.”

Out of a total of 10 bikes tested in the mountain bikes category, 8 were rated “Very Good”. See issue 1/-2/2012 of aktiv Radfahren for the complete test.
